Political action / Ballot Issue 3A

For a safer
Longmont.

Our community is growing. Issue 3A would provide dedicated funding for the people, equipment, vehicles, and facilities that keep Longmont ready to respond.

The measure

What is
Issue 3A?

The City of Longmont is asking voters to approve a 0.33% increase to the existing public safety sales and use tax, raising the City rate to 3.86%, as well as a 2.44 mill increase in property tax.

These dedicated public safety taxes will fund hiring more firefighters, police officers, dispatchers, and support staff, and purchasing the equipment, vehicles, and facilities needed to provide public safety services.
